For taxis, the night flat fare between the airport and the city centre applies from 00:00 to 05:00. For your brain, “late” is anything where you land tired, the kids are done, and public transport options shrink.

X95 bus
The X95 toward Syntagma is the overnight public workhorse. It costs €5.50 and runs 24 hours a day when the metro does not. It is also slower, stop-heavy, and unlovely with two big suitcases at 03:00. Good for solo travellers on a budget heading near Syntagma. Poor for a villa in Vouliagmeni.

Metro Line 3 is excellent in daytime and early evening. It is not your plan for every late arrival. The last train leaves the airport at 23:34. During rail replacement works from 25 October 2026, on Sunday to Thursday the last direct train from the airport through the centre to Dimotiko Theatro leaves at 21:10, and the last from Dimotiko Theatro to the airport at 21:06. From 21:40 the line is split, airport trains run only to Doukissis Plakentias, and temporary bus X25 links Doukissis Plakentias with Katehaki (STASY). If you land after it sleeps, move on: bus, taxi or private.
